This is going to be the first Easter without my mother. She

passed away on March the 7th, 2010. I will miss her very much.

But I know she is with my dad and her parents and most of all

With God.

Thank you for all the encouraging words & understanding. I have been real busy we put my mother in a nursing home and getting her all settled in and making sure they are taking good care of her. Then my husband got laid off his job, but with faith and prayers to God he found another one. So I haven't been blogging like I should. I quit the antiquing business for a while, I will probably get back into it in the Spring. I really miss it but other things come first. I hope everyone has a wonderful and prosperous New Year! Thank you my friends!

I have not been bloging for a while. I will get back to it after this week though. A lot has been going on here. With me taking care of my mother that is a full time job and now her aunt has passed away. We are going to the funeral in the morning. I take mother to therapy 2 times a week. And I have to stay with her all day and do everything for her. I don't mind. Just wanted to let everyone know what the deal is. I am very behind with everything. Just say a prayer for my family to God to help us be strong and have patience with each other.

I know with His help we will. Have a Blessed Day!

This INCREDIBLE picture was taken in 1918.It is 18,000 men preparing for war in a training camp at Camp Dodge , in Iowa . EIGHTEEN THOUSAND MEN!What a priceless gift from our grandfathers!

I am sorry I haven't had anything on my blog lately. You see my mother had a stroke in September and came to live with my husband and I in October. She lost her balance and has to have help to walk and to put on clothes. So I have been really busy with her. I don't mind at all and I have to remind her that if I didn't love her I would not do all that I do for her. We were not blessed with any children so this is very different for us. I do get 2 days a week off from 1:00 - 5:00 in the afternoon and every other Saturday. That is a lot of help. There is always one person in the family who does it all. I guess that is me. I love my mother very much. Her birthday is April 11th, she will be 78 years young. We are planning a party for her. I know God will bless me for doing this. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and God Bless you all! Pam

Snowed in Friday

Our first snow of the year, Friday March the 27th. We recieved 11" of snow. Snowed all day, drifts were about 4 ft high. Everything closed down. This is a picture of the school across from our house.

I found this lovely Schnauzer needlepoint picture at an antique shop for 13.00. Looks just like my Gunthur. It is 17" X 16" .

I like collecting dog items mostly terriers and scotty dogs. The older and more unique the better.

I went to visit some of my friends today and it was like Spring. So nice and no wind. Can't believe it. Wonder what will happen in March~will we get some snow?? I hope not. Cute pale yellow chest. I put glass knobs on to dress it up. And painted it this color. In the new Country Living magazine it says that yellow is the color for spring. Hello, Sunshine! What do you think?

This is just one piece of furniture I have for sale that I painted. I really like to paint furniture. When I start painting I tell my husband to move the cars, I will paint everything in sight. HA HA I get started and can't quit. I painted 2 chests one day. I use a brush most people use a sprayer. I have tried that but it is much easier for me to use a brush. I will try to get more pictures of other things I have for sale in my booth.
