Easter

Just an explanation

I am sorry I haven't had anything on my blog lately. You see my mother had a stroke in September and came to live with my husband and I in October. She lost her balance and has to have help to walk and to put on clothes. So I have been really busy with her. I don't mind at all and I have to remind her that if I didn't love her I would not do all that I do for her. We were not blessed with any children so this is very different for us. I do get 2 days a week off from 1:00 - 5:00 in the afternoon and every other Saturday. That is a lot of help. There is always one person in the family who does it all. I guess that is me. I love my mother very much. Her birthday is April 11th, she will be 78 years young. We are planning a party for her. I know God will bless me for doing this. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and God Bless you all! Pam

Snowed in Friday

Our first snow of the year, Friday March the 27th. We recieved 11" of snow. Snowed all day, drifts were about 4 ft high. Everything closed down. This is a picture of the school across from our house.

Schnauzer Needlepoint Picture

I found this lovely Schnauzer needlepoint picture at an antique shop for 13.00. Looks just like my Gunthur. It is 17" X 16" .

I like collecting dog items mostly terriers and scotty dogs. The older and more unique the better.

Spring Afternoon

I went to visit some of my friends today and it was like Spring. So nice and no wind. Can't believe it. Wonder what will happen in March~will we get some snow?? I hope not. I am spoiled with this nice weather. Wearing flip flops and short sleeve tops. Thank you God for a beautiful day. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. And have a very nice weekend!

Cute pale yellow chest. I put glass knobs on to dress it up. And painted it this color. In the new Country Living magazine it says that yellow is the color for spring. Hello, Sunshine! What do you think?

Cute vintage blue chair. The upholstry is orginal and is in very good shape. Very comfortable.

White Chest

This is just one piece of furniture I have for sale that I painted. I really like to paint furniture. When I start painting I tell my husband to move the cars, I will paint everything in sight. HA HA I get started and can't quit. I painted 2 chests one day. I use a brush most people use a sprayer. I have tried that but it is much easier for me to use a brush. I will try to get more pictures of other things I have for sale in my booth.

I'm always looking for unusual chairs to recover. I think these are very neat. The lines are sleek. The material on the flowered chair reminds me of the 60's. Turquoise sofa is different in a fashionable way. {pictures:Veranda Magazine}
